This illustration was an experiment of using a messy art style made up of lots of scribbles, deviating from my usual clean, lineless art. I let myself loose and combined two of my favourite anime characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, Itadori Yuuji (left) and Megumi Fushiguro (right) and placed them in a casual and modern environment. The original anime has constant action and I wanted to see them in a more peaceful setting, imagining how they’d look in their everyday lives, away from any danger. I allowed my imagination to take over and conceptualized their clothes and facial expressions that resonated with the character’s personalities, using references for the pose and environment to get the proportions correct and ensure the room was accurate to the original series!
